PneumaticCraft Wiki – IndustrialCraft 2 compatibility

PneumaticCraft adds a pair of machines which specifically are designed to work with IndustrialCraft 2. Therefore, these machines are only useful when having IndustrialCraft 2 installed. Both machines their recipes can be disabled completely in the config, which forces players to build both power networks if they want to use machines of both mods. Both machines can be interacted with a IndustrialCraft 2 Wrench.

PneumaticGeneratorPneumatic Generator
The Pneumatic Generator can generate IndustrialCraft 2′s EU from compressed air. This is a tier two machine, indicated by its minimal working pressure of 15 bar. By default it has an efficiency of 40%, but this can be changed in the config. Without any upgrades, it outputs at a rate of 32 EU/tick. With one Speed Upgrade inserted 128 EU/tick and with two 512 EU/tick. *The energy usage in mL/tick = output rate / efficiency * 400, in which the efficiency is in %. For instance, when the efficiency is 40% while you’re outputting at a rate of 32EU/tick, the compressed air usage equals 32 / 40 * 400 = 320mL/tick.

ElectricCompressorElectric Compressor
The Electric Compressor can generate compressed air from IndustrialCraft 2′s EU. By default it has an efficiency of 40%, but this can be changed in the config. It behaves like a IndustrialCraft tier 1 machine, meaning that it’ll explode when you apply medium/high voltage to it. You can insert transformer upgrades to allow higher voltages just like in normal IndustrialCraft machines though. *The energy output in mL/tick = input rate / efficiency * 400, in which the efficiency is in %. For instance, when the efficiency is 40% while you’re inputting at a rate of 32EU/tick, the compressed air production equals 32 / 40 * 400 = 320mL/tick.
