UniversalSensorThe Universal Sensor is like the name suggests a sensor that can be used in many applications. Being universal isn’t free: the sensor requires a small amount of air to run (0.1 mL/tick), and sensors need certain Machine Upgrades to run.

Sensor name Required upgrades description
Within Range Entity Tracker Emits a redstone level for every entity within range. You can select a specific entity by filling in its name in the textbox. For instance for Creepers type 'Creeper', or for Player1 type 'Player1'. You can also select an entity type. If you want to detect mobs, you can type '@mob'. All selectable entity types are @mob, @animal, @living, @player, @item, @minecart.
Player Attack Entity Tracker Emits a redstone pulse when a player attacks an entity within range of the sensor.
Item Pickup Entity Tracker Emits a redstone pulse when a player picks up an item off the ground within range.
Right Click Block Block Tracker and GPS Tool Emits a redstone pulse when a player right clicks the block at the coordinate selected by the GPS Tool (within range).
Presence Block Tracker and GPS Tool Emits a redstone signal if there's a block (no air) at the location stored in the GPS Tool.
Metadata  Block Tracker and GPS Tool Emits a redstone of which the strength is the metadata of the block at the location stored in the GPS Tool. Metadata is a variable that is used in many blocks to store a certain state. Some examples in which metadata is used, and therefore this sensor setting can be used for, are plant growth, block facing (e.g. Pistons), lever states, and difference in wool.
Comparator  Block Tracker and GPS Tool This sensor setting simulates the Redstone Comparator at the location stored in the GPS Tool. This means that for example the redstone signal is proportional to the contents of inventories stored at the GPS Tool's coordinate. If the comparator output would be side dependant, the highest signal will be emitted.
Redstone  Block Tracker and GPS Tool This sensor could be used as a wireless redstone device, as it emits the same redstone signal as being applied at the GPS Tool's saved location.
Light Level Block Tracker and GPS Tool Emits a redstone of which the strength is equal to the light level at the location stored in the GPS Tool.
Daylight Dispenser Upgrade A straight copy of the Daylight Sensor.
Is Raining Dispenser Upgrade Emits a redstone signal if it's raining in the world.
Time Dispenser Upgrade Emits a redstone signal of which the strength proportional to the time of the world. strength = time / 1500. Example: If the time is 6000, the redstone strength will be 4.
Weather Forecaster Dispenser Upgrade The closer to the point in time that it's going to rain, the higher the redstone signal will be. From 15 minutes prior to rain the redstone signal strength will increase every minute.
Ticktime (lag) Dispenser Upgrade Emits a redstone level dependant on the time used by the server to update the world this Universal Sensor is in. This time is calculated in the same way as Forge's /tps command. With the textbox you can select a resolution as follows: Strength = Ticktime(mS) * TextboxValue. Example:  Ticktime = 20mS ; Textbox text = '0.5'. Strength = 20 * 0.5 = 10
Players in Server Dispenser Upgrade Emits a redstone level for every player logged into the server. When you fill in a specific player name, the Universal Sensor will emit a redstone signal of 15 if the player is online and 0 otherwise.
